UN spokesman burst into tears talking about Gaza child deaths

A United Nations (UN) spokesman couldn’t hold his sadness and burst into tears in front of the camera.

He is Chris Gunness. He’s in the interview with al-Jazeera, a satellite television network. He was talking about the human tragedy of fighting in Gaza.

In the beginning, he attempted to hold back his tears, keep coughing and maintain his professional posture.

The TV crew moved the camera aside and tried not to shoot the crying scene, for the sake of protecting Mr. Gunness.

UN officials tries to protect Palestinians at schools which were selected as shelters, where are still being struck by missiles.

Mr. Gunness is a former BBC reporter and currently working for the UN’s Relief and Works Agency.
