People could witness the moment of silence in their offices, vehicles and even in schools.

Communication and Multimedia Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek said that the plane would transport the remains by 9.45am tomorrow, if it departed from Amsterdam at 2pm (Netherlands time).

All radio stations are going to broadcast the ceremony at Kompleks Bunga Raya.

“As for television, we hope that they would not show entertainment programmes besides sports on that day,” he added.

“However, we want all channels, be they movie or drama, to broadcast the moment of silence, of which the template will be decided later,” he said.

Police personnel will be in charge of the traffic flow for the escorts of the remains en-route to the burial grounds in the respective states.

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mu’adzam Shah will also attend the ceremony at KLIA while the Sultan of Perak Sultan Nazrin Shah is expected to be in Ipoh to receive the remains.

Elected representatives, especially all Members of Parliament and foreign ambassadors will be attending the ceremony at KLIA.

Our deep condolence with the victims on board the flights MH17 and MH370, and their next-of-kin.
