National Day of Mourning MH17 on August 22

August 22 will be the national day of morning for victims from Malaysia Airlines flight MH17. There were 16 remains sent back to Malaysia, including 15 Malaysians and one Dutch.

The Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin said that the date would not be a public holiday.

The Deputy Prime Minister stated that the identities of the 15 Malaysians would be unveiled on August 22. And six of them were Muslims.

He added that the next-of-kin of the Dutch citizen requested to have the cremation in Malaysia.

The receiving ceremony will be conducted at the Bunga Raya Complex in KLIA.

May the victims rest in peace.
