Unusual warm ocean water drive the Earth break the record for heat in May.
The average temperature on Earth in May was 15.54 degree Celsius and it was the warmest record since 1880, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration stated.
The most influenced areas were Indonesia, South Korea, Kazakhstan, Australia and Spain. United States was one degree warmer than the average temperature in 20th century. And the temperature in California was up to 5 degrees above normal the first five months of the year.
A climate scientist, Kim Cobb stated that there was a good chance as global records would keep going down. Next year, El Nino will be a signal to the world as man-made activities.
Ocean temperature in May also broke the record.
